The campus area is located in the beautiful surroundings of Polacksbacken about 3 km south of central Uppsala. The visiting address is Lägerhyddsvägen 1, 752 37 Uppsala.
The departments at Ångström Laboratory conduct research within a wide range of subject touching all corners of the natural sciences, energy, technology, mathematics and information technology. Education of both scientists and engineers takes place in an environment with a strong research orientation.
The facilities at Ångström Laboratory campus comprise about 70,000 square metres, which constitutes almost 20 per cent of Uppsala University’s total premises. The campus accommodates about 3,200 full-year students and 1,700 employees. Together they produce about 600 publications and 70 doctoral theses a year, which is more than 10 scholarly articles and at least one new doctor a week!
